Electric Vehicle Concepts (e-v concepts) built its first freeway speed conversion in 1978 and its first hybrid using a Harley Davidson gas engine in 1981. E-V Concepts continues to offer conversion services along with building and designing its own unique electric vehicle concept cars and motorcycles. E-V Concepts is located in Charleston, South Carolina near the entra coastal waterway to offer our conversion services to the yachting industry.
E-V Concepts continues to develop new electric vehicle concepts for private parties and other companies around the world. We do continual testing with the newest battery technologies and develop our own charging and management systems. We own many fiberglass body designs for many different needs.
With the extra space and less weight from the use of the lithium battery system designed by E-V Concepts we have been able to add on board generators for extending the range and recharging at any time. Not every one wants to buy thousands of dollars of batteries to extend their range so the on board generator has the ability to offset that cost and give you recharging ability.
The generators are electric start and all controls are moved into the drivers cab area. The generators cost $2300 plus the time for installation. Our lithium battery charging system is built in two systems. One is for fast charging and is also used by the generator and the other is the balancing charge system that works off the 110 volt AC house current. The fast charging system recharges in thirty minutes and the balancing system takes three or more hours.

This morning's TV newscast warned
that all gasoline pumps are empty
due to an oil shortage
and
only electric vehicles are running around!
Well, the newscast mentioned above didn't happen. Yet. But, it could happen in the future!
IMHO, at this time, there is little demand for electric vehicles partly because they seem to have "missing power" that appears after approximately 16 months of use. Thus, your may have noticed that a used, 2-year old e-scooter sells for less than 1/2 of its original cost.
