| 1999.5 VW Golf Mark IV, 144V LiFe04 Thundersky 90ah battery pack. This car was originally converted to an EV by AC Propulsion for VW in 2000 from a European built car. The car was stripped and sold off as a glider. I purchased it in 2008 and begun the process of rebuilding the car. This car is a Croatian built model with euro bumpers and lights. It has a Warp 9 dual shaft, Soliton 1 controller, Zivan DC-DC converter, 44 Thundersky 90ah batteries with Elithion BMS, Elcon charger. Batteries were installed summer 2009. Original car had less than 18,000 miles est. (28,500 km) miles when conversion started, currently has 23,300 miles est. (37,500 km) . Odometer is in Kilometers and not set to correct speed so mileage is estimated from odometer readings. I use a simple Garmin Nuvi GPS to check speed. Gauges were modified by AC Propulsion for 360v system. I have installed tachometer, ammeter and basic Elithion SOC gauge. Soliton 1 controller has a liquid cooled system installed and can handle more than my batteries can push out. It is truly a trouble free controller. It was installed October 2010. Elithion BMS manages charging, so the car is a plug and walk away system. The charging and balancing is all controlled by the Elithion BMS. The firmware was upgraded Dec 2010. System can be managed with simple computer terminal program. Current charging system is set up for 120V, but charger is rated for 120/240V. The interior modifications by ACP included battery compartments under the seats and the center tunnel, under the rear seat and trunk compartment. Current pack only uses the rear under seat and trunk compartment. There is room for lots of batteries in this car. Recaro bucket seats in front and an upgraded split rear seat. Car has 1500w electric heater and Electric Blue AC unit installed 2010. This car has been shown many times with the North Texas EV club (nteaa.org) with great reviews. It is a show car, with great attention to detail. You will not find a car this age in better condition. Excellent daily driver with a range of 40-45 miles. This car is ready to go. | I need to sell my '81 VoltsRabbit partial conversion. Starting vehicle is '81 Diesel Rabbit. All IC parts removed. Used Advanced DC motor installed. Has front and rear battery racks, front installed. Rear rack is new ElectroAuto with box. Installed contactor, circuit breaker, potbox. Have gauges, heat sinks. I was building the car as 120 volt system so fabricated an additional battery rack with box for installation in back seat. Car was working with 36 volt prototype control circuitry. | No more gas or oil or tuneups ever. Converted to 100% electric operation. While it has been completed for about a year it has had very light use, probably less than 500 miles. Modifications: It has a ADVANCED DC 8" Single Shaft Motor connected to the stock 5 speed transmission by a custom made adapter plate and coupler which allows clutchless operation (no clutch pedal). I normally drive using only 2nd gear in town although the car can start from 3rd gear, just more slowly. The car is also equipped with Curtis 1231 500 Amp controller, QuickCharge 132 volt charger, an Iota - DLS-30 DC-DC Converter, electric vacuum pump for braking, an ammeter and volt meter mounted in a door pillar console on the driver side, a 132 volt pack consisting of (22) Energizer GC-2(6 volt) wet deep cycle batteries (very light use), custom cabling and battery boxes, Kilovac contactor, as well as a cockpit mounted switch to disable the pack connection for servicing. The car recharges via a 110 volt RV external power receptacle which is behind the gas filler door and plugs into any 110 volt power cord. A full charge from a heavily discharged pack takes 10-12 hours. It is capable of speeds up to 55 mph but the range at that speed is only 10 to 15 or so miles. At a more conservative speed, 35 mph it should achieve 25 to 35 miles. I've never driven it beyond 25 miles and it still had plenty of power left. The original car was acquired with straight body with a clear title. The car is over 19 years old and the exterior and interior are in good shape. The seats and rugs have no tears although the driver seat is covered with a seat cover. Everything works with exception of the gas gauge (obviously) and the tach which could be made to work. It is currently registered through 2010. It has an AM/FM stereo which works and a very bright battery powered light which serves as a cockpit light. It has nice rims and new tires. $6000 and local delivery. | |||

| A great car, but I've changed my mind and would like to get a car with ChaDeMo, as they've actually built the I-5 electric highway in WA. This is an opportunity for someone outside of the rollout market or a retiree or nonprofit organization that's unable to claim the tax credit to get a new iMiEV at below dealer cost. This one is an ES model in cool silver, has the cold weather package, LED interior lighting and black fabric. A very fun commuter that's delivering close to 300 Watt-hrs per mile, and worst case, went 45 miles at over 60 mph with headlights and heater on, with four people inside and four miles estimated remaining range on the gauge. I'm logging trips and have a good record of consumption. I'll work with you to get completely comfortable with the car before you take it away, can deliver in the Northwestern US, or will hand it off to the shipper of your choice. | |||

| We have finally decided to sell our 1974 BMW 2002 conversion. While I used to drive the car from Palo Alto, CA to Milpitas, CA daily (32 miles round trip), we don't drive the car often enough and hope that someone else can enjoy this vehicle. A friend and I did the work. Major components include a water cooled Zilla Z1K-LV controller, 20 - US 125 6 Volt deep discharge batteries (120 Volt nominal, 27.6 kWh pack), Zivan charger, Advanced DC 9" motor, Todd DC-DC converter for the 12 Volt service battery, e-meter and 1.2 kW ceramic heater. With a new battery pack the car should do up to 40 miles on a single charge. Energy use is 350 Wh/mile. Recharge at 120 Volts/11 Amps max is approximately 10-12 hours if discharged to 50%.
