Bought this in 2003, Put over 60K miles on it since then.
Originally converted in 1994 using a Volts Rabbit kit from Electro Automotive in Felton, CA
I believe I am the third owner since its conversion.
This vehicle has an 8" Advanced DC motor (which used to come with this kit)
Controller is Curtis 1221 modified for more amps estimated 600- 1000 max. peak
Onboard charger fully adjustable by K & W (BC-20) (120 Volt connection in fuel door)
96 volt system using 16 Trojan 125 batteries.
Batteries are 5 years old. New Jan 2013 with one replacement. Range and Charge hold time are affected.
The car has a range of about 40 miles with new batteries, at present the range is 1/3 to 1/4 of that.
I'm still using it most days around central Marin.
8 inch electric motor uses the 5 speed transmission with clutch.
Manual rack and pinion steering, Vacuum power brakes (Has electric Vacuum Pump).
Tires and brakes are good, just replaced the brake master cylinder.
Replaced front struts approx 2 years ago.
The paint is faded, Glass is good, lights work, has electric antenna w CD player, am/fm. 4 speakers
No heater installed.

I've decided to sell it because my wife wants to drive an EV but can not deal with a car with no power steering.
The car goes really well around town.
The modified controller allows for 2nd gear starts with more torque.
Top speed is about 70 mph.
In town you can drive it like an automatic by leaving it in 2nd gear up to 45 mph.
Car has carpool lane stickers, I have used it to commute from San Anselmo to Sausalito and back for 10 plus years.
